5 - Deambulações em volta de um lago

   Os olhos tropicais deslizam até o entre as pedras onde germina uma míriade de formas flexíveis em diversas cores e tons de verde: aqui tudo brota. Insetos ocultos latejam. Passos, pedras e plantas pulsam em grito unânime. Paisagem zoando.

5 - Wandering around a lake

 

   Tropical eyes slide towards the in-between the stones where a myriad of flexible forms grow out in different colors and shades of green: here everything sprouts. Hidden insects throb loudly. Footsteps, rocks and plants pulsate in a unanimous cry. The landscape hums.

Aqui começa um festival de inócuas delicadezas.

Here begins a festival of innocuous delicacies.

Pitadas da cor rosa adicionam alguma frivolidade à aridez das pedras.

Pinches of pink add some futility to the rocks’ aridness.

   Para uma minúscula criatura, as manchas nas pedras devem parecer algo assim como oásis aveludados em meio a um árido deserto. Para os olhos humanos, voluptuosas ondulações verdes impõem-se. Nesse novo território de maleabilidades, oscilam realidades co-possíveis.

   For a tiny creature, the stains on the rocks should look something like a smooth oasis amid the arid desert. For human eyes, luscious green undulations impose themselves. In this new territory of maleability, there is an oscillation of co-possible realities.

   Mais extravasamento de verde derramando-se sobre as pedras e agora pontuado pela sutileza do rosa.

     More overflow of green spilling over the rocks and now punctuated by subtle pink spots.

   Encrustrações de rubi - outro tipo de joia germinante em meio à inesperada profusão barroca.

   Ruby inlay - another type of burgeoning jewel amid unexpected baroque profusion.

 Casualmente perambulando pelo Velho Mundo, encontram-se nem prata nem ouro nem diamante nem petróleo nem temperos nem tecidos nem commodities , mas algum tipo de efêmera exuberância. Uma simples caminhada multiplica-se, assim, no fluxo de percursos anteriores.

    Casually wandering in the Old World, one finds no silver no gold no diamonds no oil no seasoning no rich fabrics no commodities, but some kind of ephemeral exuberance. This is how a single walk multiplies into a flow of many other previous courses.

 

   Relato de encontro com a natureza no início do século XXI dá-se não como relatório de missão científica com despistados fins colonizadores, não como um discurso totalizante para mapear o que deve ser revolvido e transformado, e sim como uma narrativa online tão efêmera como uma singela margaridinha.

   Porém, porque o mundo arde em algum outro lugar, o que parece ser apenas singelo pode também parecer desesperadamente singelo.

    An encounter with nature in the early 21^st Century offers not a report of a scientific mission with disguised colonizing ends, not a totalizing discourse to map what should be stirred and transformed, but an online narrative as ephemeral as a simple daisy.

   However, because the world smoulders somewhere else, what seems to be merely simple can also appear as desperately simple.

   Curiosa combinacão do árido e do belo desperta o enigma do fútil. Perscrutar seu sentido é tarefa vã e, no entanto, há algum fascínio na inusitada aparição do beleza.

   Curious combination of what is arid and what is beautiful brings the puzzle of what is futile. Investigating its meaning is a vain task, and yet, there is fascination with the appearance of unusual beauty.

   O estar entre impõe-se em meio aos pedregulhos desmoronados: festival de cor, aroma e zumbidos diante da eloquência do peso que desabou e da leveza que se ergue resplandecente. Ouve-se  subentendida sinfonia de sons graves e agudos como se por um momento pudesse haver uma percepção musical das formas e cores.

   The in-between imposes itself among the collapsed rocks: festival of color, aroma and buzzing together with the eloquence of the crashed weight and the dazzling lightness that rises. One can hear an implied symphony of high and low notes as if for a moment it could be possible to perceive forms and colors in a musical manner.
